    I like what you say. As for knocks on the door, I feel not so much interest in them as dread of them. Not because I've had bad experiences, but because I live alone, don't have relationships with my neighbors, and love it that way. For me, something that piques my interest is approaching a conversation or doorway and hearing, "Shh!"
