"The clock is a conspiracy and a crime against humanity and I would not own one except I miss appointments without it."
~Brian Andreas
My canoe trip leaders used to take away our watches when we went on long trips. After a day or two of burning neurotic anxiety, we found that our bodies were pretty damn good at keeping time. We woke at suntime, ate at hungrytime, and slept at startime, and made occasional forays into firetime talkery. I wonder if impatience was as rampant before clocks.
